Who is Giant?

The brand is a major leader in the industry and has had an influence on the bikes we see today. Founded in 1972, it started off as a manufacturer and supplier to other bike brands. However, over the last four decades, as the brand slowly outgrew its supplying roots it rapidly expanded into producing bicycles of its own.

It began with their revolutionary lightweight Chromoly frames. Giant’s ability to produce high-quality bikes at an affordable price allowed more riders to experience cycling in a whole new way. Since then, they have pioneered advancements in both aluminium and composite engineering.

Are Giant Innovators?

In the year 1989, the Cadex 980 C was released. This bike truly was the first of its kind being affordable yet offering extremely high quality. This bike revolutionised high-performance road bikes with its Compact Road Design.

In mountain biking, Giant’s Maestro Suspension established a new level of performance for off-road riding and racing. It’s safe to say Giant has really knocked down barriers and been extremely innovative in this space!
