Be warned there is so much terminology used in the cycle trade. When it comes to each different manufacturer describing a bike such as a:

• Commuter Bike
• Urban Bike
• Discovery Bike
• Explorer Bike
• Adventure Bike
• Sports Bike
• Racing Bike

What we are saying is this, “what one manufacturer calls an urban bike for instance the same bike might be called a Hybrid or some other name by other manufacturers.”

At our bike shop in Heathfield, East Sussex we don’t specialise in any particular type of bike. Over the 40+ years we’ve been in retail we’ve learnt to cover all types of bikes and Road bikes are no different. Road bikes come in many styles and uses. There are straight bar road bikes and there are drop bar road bikes. Then there are different types for different uses.
