Electric Off-Road Bikes
The off-road electric mountain bike is similar to the conventional Mountain bike, (non-electric type) in so much as there are two basic styles; the HardTail, (Front Suspension only) and the Soft Tail, (front and rear Suspension). Let’s now assume you know more about the differences between the Hardtail and Full Suspension Mountain Bikes.
With the Electric Motor added to a mountain bike one can go uphill like you go down. You can also go a lot further knowing you can safely get home again. There are variations of the Electric Mountain Bike depending on what you intend to do with it, how seriously you intend to punish it, (remember, one can bend a Landrover if it’s smashed into a tree) and what you have set as a budget. You need to remember when setting your budget there is a lot of technology in a mountain bike and with this, combined with the electrical systems that are involved in the Electric Bike concept, it’s not wise to buy cheap. For sure, You will pay out in the end on repairs and servicing the bike, if it doesn’t have the build quality it will not put up with the punishment.
You are not too old!
You might have thought your days of cycling are behind you due to maybe a lack of energy! With an electric bike you decide how much effort you put into each ride by selecting the appropriate assistance level. This can be altered during a ride without even stopping. Or you might consider the lanes of East Sussex too dangerous to cycle on, (you might have a point there!).
