Semi Off-Road Electric Bikes
Often this style of bike, the semi off-road electric bike is referred to as an Electric Hybrid bike. The word ‘Hybrid’ can be confusing as it covers too many styles of bikes. So we call them Semi Off-Road Electric Bikes. They’re for road riding and off-road riding, but they are not mountain bikes.
The Semi Off-Road Electric bike will go pretty much anywhere the mountain bike will go other than through the really muddy off-road rugged rides. They’re intended to cover the trails such as canal footpaths, shingle forest trails and the pine forest tracks like the New Forest.
The Semi Off-road Electric bike will probably be on the 700c size wheel, depending on the frame geometry/clearance and rim size. One can bespoke the tyre fitted to a more or less on or off road tread pattern to better suit the type of locations one chooses to ride the bike.
This sort of bike can come quite skeletal, (no mudguards or rack etc.) Or it could be fully equipped with all the accessories and bike gadgets included. If the bike has got a front suspension, which this sort of bike will usually have, make sure it is a lockable fork so for road riding it is efficient and for off-road it’s comfy to ride and control.
